Theo Randall is a celebrity chef who specializes in Italian cuisine.

Theo’s career began at Chez Max in London, where he trained in classical cooking. He then joining The River Cafe in 1989. Theo then remained at River Cafe for another 15 years as head chef. It was under his patronage that the restaurant received its first Michelin star in 1997.

He left to launch Theo Randall at the InterContinental, which opened in November 2006.

Recipe Creation

Theo first visited Italy when he was 6, and such trips continue to inspire him today. He often returns to Italy seeking fresh inspiration. His Italian influences are evident in Theo’s menus.

He partnered with Pizza Express by creating pizzas for their autumn 2008 menu. It was the first time that the chain had collaborated with a celebrity chef. He regularly attends food festivals, and participated in the prestigious Taste of London held in Regents Park. He has also been involved in the London Restaurant Festival.

In 2010, Theo Randall started working with ASK Italian restaurants as their “expert friend”, developing menus and coming up with new dishes.
