Phil Vickery is a TV cook and food writer.

Phil was born in Folkestone and trained at restaurants in the Lake District. He then worked at Gravetye Manor in West Sussex and Restaurant 74 in Canterbury. He moved to Taunton and became the head chef at the Castle Hotel. During his nine years there, he won Michelin and Egon Ronay stars four years in a row.

Phil Vickery has written ten books. Headline published his first, Just Food, in 1999.

TV Chef

He has appeared on the television programmes Ready Steady Cook and This Morning. He is also Married to former This Morning host Fern Britton, and he can often be seen contributing his culinary wisdom in the pages of magazines and has appeared in other TV shows such as ITV’s Ten Mile Menu.

Vickery also brings his classic British cooking to This Morning each week, with recipe ideas for every occasion.

Product Endorsement

In September 2008, Vickery began advertising food products and promoting special offers for supermarket chain Aldi, after signing a two year deal with the chain.

He is also the current spokesperson for Unilever’s Stork brand margarine. In 2010 Coeliac UK appointed him Food Ambassador.

Phil also writes for several magazines and is married to TV presenter Fern Britton.

Phil is one of Britain’s most prominent on-screen chefs and he is passionate about good food. His presentations are filled with interesting cookery tips and are always very good fun.
