Paul Hollywood is a celebrity baker who rose to fame as a judge on The Great British Bake Off.

In 1999 Paul began his career as a celebrity baker, co-hosting his own programmes with James Martin. He has also made appearances on popular TV programmes Richard and Judy, The Heaven and Earth Show, This Morning and Ready Steady Cook.

In 2008 Paul created an almond and roquefort sourdough recipe that was said to be the most expensive bread in Britain..

Paul has published a collection of his recipes entitled 100 Great Breads. And in the book Paul celebrates bread baking from around the world. The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards named his book as the ‘Top Bread and Pastry Book’ for 2005.

Cookery School

Paul has a thriving bakery business and runs bread-making courses for all skill levels at his Bread Academy in Kent. He is also a guest speaker at several food festivals, including the Cumbrian Food Festival, and the BBC Good Food Show and the Cake and Bake Show.

The Great British Bake Off

Since the show launched in 2010, Hollywood has been a judge on The Great British Bake Off. The Guardian described his partnership with Mary Berry as being the “secret weapon” of the show.

His other notable television roles include appearing as a judge on The American Baking Competition on CBS in 2013. He presented Paul Hollywood’s Bread on BBC Two in the same year, and hosting Paul Hollywood’s Pies and Puds on BBC One.
