Mary Berry is nicknamed the ‘Queen of Cakes’. She is one of the most respected cookery writers in the UK.

Mary moved to France at the age of 17 to study at Le Cordon Bleu school. At the age of 22, she moved to London to work at the Dutch Dairy Bureau while taking City & Guilds courses in the evenings.

Food Writer

Mary has presented many television shows. She has written more than 40 cookery books, many of which have sold in their hundreds of thousands.

In June 2009 the Guild of Food Writers presented Mary with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

From 2010 to 2016 she was one of the judges on BBC Two’s The Great British Bake Off alongside Paul Hollywood. She has also appeared on a BBC Two series called The Great British Food Revival.

Advertising/Endorsements

Between 1990 and 2006 Mary ran AGA Workshops, teaching some 14,000 AGA owners. In 1994 she launched a range of Salad Dressings and Sauces, under the name of Mary Berry & Daughter.

At the beginning of 2014, LiteBulb Group Limited announced a three year deal with Mary Berry to produce a range of cooking products. The Mary Berry Collection features ceramic and wooden cookery items, all designed with Mary’s approval.

Mary collaborated with Lakeland to create a presentation range of baking goods that included cup cake cases, treat bags, and a pickles and preserves kit.
