Jack Stein

Jack Stein is a TV chef and Chef Director of all of Rick Stein’s restaurants.

Born in Cornwall, Jack is the middle son of Jill and Rick Stein.

He kicked off his career working as a kitchen porter during the school holidays. He studied at Cardiff University, completing a BSC in Psychology before going on to do a Masters in Ancient History.

He later re-entered the family business as a Commis Chef at The Seafood Restaurant, before becoming Sous Chef at Rick Stein’s Café.

Jack has since worked as a chef at restaurants across the world, including La Régalade in Paris.

TV Chef

Jack is a familiar face on television and has appeared on Wine, Dine and Stein, the eponymously-titled Jack Stein: Born to Cook on UKTV food, and Inside the Box. He has also appeared on Saturday KitchenSunday Brunch, Packed Lunch and also features in ITV’s Cooking with the Stars

Jack has also launched his own cookery course at the Rick Stein’s Cookery School.

He is also the author of cookbook, World on a Plate, released by Bloomsbury Cooks and Absolute Press.
