Antony Worrall-Thompson is an award winning celebrity chef, author and television presenter. His appearances in shows such as Ready Steady Cook, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, and as the host of BBC2’s Saturday Kitchen, have made him one of the most popular chefs in Britain.

Antony studied hotel management at Westminster Kingsway College. In 1978 he moved to London and became sous-chef at Brinkley’s Restaurant in Fulham Road, becoming head chef one year later. The following year he moved to France, eating and working his way around the local cuisine. After this he returned to England and started producing pans with his business partner Hassan.

Antony Worrall Thompson opened his first restaurant, Ménage à Trois, in Knightsbridge in 1981. The restaurant only served starters and puddings. He then launched several successful restaurants, including Wiz and Woz in West London and Metro in Jersey, all of which reflect his individual approach to food.

He has won the Mouton Rothschild Menu Competition, and the Meilleur Ouvrier de Grande Bretagne.

Personality/Celebrity

He made his first television appearance on BBC2’s Food and Drink, before appearing on Ready Steady Cook from 1994.

In 2003 he appeared in the second series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. He then replaced Gregg Wallace as the host of Saturday Kitchen.

Antony Worrall Thompson has also represented the Midlands and East of England in series one of the BBC’s Great British Menu.

Antony is one of Britain’s most entertaining chefs and his presentations are always a blast!

He has a lot of experience as an events host and has catered for some of the country’s most prestigious events and festivals. In 2014 he hosted a private dinner at The Wood Norton Hotel as part of the hugely successful Bite 2014 Festival and gave diners the opportunity to meet the English restaurateur, celebrity chef, television presenter and radio broadcaster.

In 2015 Antony Worrall Thompson took part in the cook off at Porthleven Food Festival with compere BBC Radio Cornwall presenter Tiffany Truscott.
