Ainsley Harriott is one of the UK’s most popular TV cooks. Readers voted him Best TV Chef at the TV Quick Television Awards and in two other polls, for TV Times and Teletext, he was voted favourite TV chef.

The celebrity chef has presented many how-to-cook programmes such as Ainsley’s Barbecue Bible, Ainsley’s Meals in Minutes, Ainsley’s Big Cook Out and Ainsley’s Gourmet Express.

The year 2000 saw Ainsley’s debut on US television with The Ainsley Harriott Show, which ran for more than 100 episodes. Following this he went on to host Ready.. Set… Cook!, the US version of Ready Steady Cook.

Although best known for his BBC cooking shows Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook and Ready Steady Cook, Ainsley is also a best-selling author.

Ainsley Harriott was appointed MBE in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts.
