Amy Childs is a model, beautician, reality television contestant and popular television presenter. She rose to fame after appearing in the first two series of the award winning ITV2 series The Only Way Is Essex.

Early Life

She was born in Barking but relocated to Brentwood, Essex at the age of six.

She left the school with four GCSE qualifications and went on to study a Level Three Diploma in Beauty Specialised Techniques. Amy then worked as a therapist in Harmony Health and Beauty at Epping Forest Country Club.

Childs appeared in the ITV2 semi-reality programme The Only Way Is Essex. Childs later signed to Can Associates management agency.

Amy puts her name to a ghost-written column for New! magazine and presents a regular fashion segment on ITV1’s This Morning. She posed for the fashion magazine Vogue. Later, she attended the 2011 ceremony of the British Academy Television Awards, at which The Only Way is Essex won.

In July 2011, Childs was Personality of the Year at the National Reality TV Awards.

On 18 August 2011 Childs began taking part in Celebrity Big Brother. She finished fourth in the show. Childs and Jedward filmed an advertisement for Celebrity Big Brother 2012 in 2011.

A fly-on-the-wall reality show It’s All About Amy débuted on Channel 5 on in December 2011. The show involves Childs, her family, and her friends taking part in Childs’ business investments.

In 2011 Amy modelled for Bra Queen made by Ultimo available in 2011 exclusively at Tesco. In 2012 she also continued with her modelling, she modelled for the high street fashion store Topman.

Childs competed in an episode of Let’s Dance For Sport Relief with her cousin and fellow The Only Way Is Essex star, Harry Derbidge, in February 2012. Amy also participated in a celebrity special of The Bank Job on Channel 4 in March.

She also has her own fashion range, sold exclusively on her website.

Amy Childs is a reality television star who has hit the big time. Her popularity has already led to a number of fashion advertising projects and she will continue to be an excellent brand ambassador.
