About

Ravinder Bhogal is an award-winning TV chef, food writer and stylist. She is the author of Cook in Boots and was head chef at the pop-up The Dispensary in Aldgate.

Ravinder Bhogal began her love of cooking by preparing feasts at home. On the side, she was quietly putting together a collection of her own recipes.

She never dreamed these recipes would make it into print. But that was before she was spotted by Gordon Ramsay and catapulted into the public eye with an award-winning cookbook and a string of TV appearances.

TV Chef

Ravinder appeared on Ramsay’s The F Word and travelled the world for Channel 4’s investigative show Food: What Goes in your Basket?.

Her debut book Cook in Boots won the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for the UK’s Best First Cookbook. The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards feature around 26,000 books from 136 countries.

BBC programme Desi DNA had its highest viewing figures when Ravinder presented a two-parter entitled The Great British Curry Trail. The show saw her travelling across the country to find out how Britain fell in love with Indian food.

Ravinda is a big fan of the Noma style of eating – foraging for unusual and local foods.

Ravinda is at home in front of an audience and her sophisticated presentations are sure to go down a treat at any event.
