Nancy was born in Singapore and learned the basics of oriental cookery from her grandmother. She went on to experiment with Thai, Indian and other cuisines.

She moved to London from Singapore at the age of 22. After originally training as a nurse, she gained popularity after catering for hotel guests and hosting regular barbecues for charitable events.

Nancy’s signature dishes are satay, barbecued prawns, rendang and other dishes that her grandmother taught her. She opened the Enak Enak (Indonesian for “yummy yummy”) restaurant in 1988. It has since attracted an impressive host of celebrity clientèle.
