Buddy Valastro is an American celebrity baker and TV star.

Buddy attended Ridgefield Park High School and took baking courses at Bergen County Technical.

He began working at his family’s business, Carlo’s Bakery, at age 11. When his father died in 1994, then Buddy took over the business.

Personality/Celebrity

Valastro is the owner and head baker of Carlo’s Bakery, featured on the show Cake Boss. Since then Carlo’s has opened 17 more bakeries due to the popularity of the show.

The Lackawanna Factory in Jersey City serves as the corporate office for the business.

Buddy launched an event planning and catering company, Buddy V’s Events, in June 2014. Buddy V’s Events specializes in planning and catering for events from elegant weddings to corporate meetings.

Brand Ambassador

In 2016 Buddy Valastro partnered with Whole Earth Sweetener Co. on the brand campaign “Rethink Sweet.” Buddy served as brand ambassador and to help fans make healthy lifestyle choices.

In 2018 Buddy partnered with The Pound Bakery, a pet treat company, to launch a new line of treats.

He has also worked with several other companies to launch a full line of fondant, buttercream icing, and Italian Biscotti cookies under the brand name Buddy Valastro Foods.
