About

Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, and film producer.

In October 2008 Reynolds had plans to run the New York City Marathon for his father who, at the time, suffered from Parkinson’s Disease.

Reynolds starred in minor roles before landing a lead role in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl. He later starred in a range of film genres: comedies, dramas, action films and voiceovers in animated features.

Reynolds’ biggest commercial success came with the superhero franchise Deadpool. Ryan played the title character Wade Wilson. His performance got him nominations at the Critics Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.

In 2017 Ryan got his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Then, in January 2019 Reynolds joined Armani Code as the brand’s new face. He led a campaign for Absolu scent, a spicy oriental fragrance with a base of tonka bean with notes of rum, vanilla and hint of green.

On November 26, 2021, Mary Simon awarded Reynolds a Governor General’s Performing Arts Award to recognize his charity work and contributions to the cultural life of Canada. Sandra Bullock, Michael J. Fox, and Hugh Jackman made speeches in support of, and to congratulate Reynolds on the award.

Ryan Reynolds would make an ideal brand ambassador for any international organisation seeking such a prestigious high-profile figure.
