New Balance pay tribute to Raheem Sterling’s ‘Route to Success’ with new Furon 7 boots
Manchester City and England striker Raheem Sterling has unveiled his latest signature New Balance boots.
Raheem Sterling’s signature Furon 7’s are released under the phrase ‘Route to Success,’ inspired by the nostalgia of TFL bus seats from his early days.
At an early age, Raheem Sterling would take three buses to and from QPR five days a week for training sessions.
The boots are available in Bright Lapis and Teal Blue, along with a throwback ’80s-style print.
Sterling’s sister, Lakima, who used to take him to his training sessions, has her name also featured on the soleplate, as well as the three bus routes he would have taken to training.
The laces depict ‘Route to Success’ repeating the message of sacrifices Sterling and his family made for him to become a pro footballer.
During Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, Raheem Sterling debuted the boots, and he will continue to wear them.
