Max Sherman directs Zocdoc New National TV Campaign, “Get a Doctor Who Gets You”

Zocdoc, the leading healthcare marketplace that makes it simple for people to find and book in-person or virtual care across +200 specialties and +12k insurance plans, announced a new national TV campaign with Max Sherman in collaboration with creative agency 72andSunny Los Angeles.

The humorous advertisements depict the emotional payoff that results from three patients using Zocdoc’s one-of-a-kind toolset to find and book an appointment with a doctor who understands their situation, painting a positive picture of a traditionally frustrating process.

The creative focus of the campaign is anchored in Zocdoc’s mission to empower patients. The three ads, titled Jinx, Dentist, and Butt and directed by Max Sherman through Anonymous Content, each highlight a different, relatable situation from the perspective of a patient. The audience can identify with three common patient situations: being anxious about treatment preferences, feeling awkward describing intimate issues, and being picky about a provider’s attributes. After using Zocdoc tools, each patient finds a great provider – one who is well-qualified, engaged, caring, and understanding – and the ads all end in victory.

“Healthcare should be designed for patients. But it’s not, and finding a doctor with the right experience, who really listens, makes you feel comfortable, and strives for connection can feel impossible,” said Heather Berko, Head of Brand at Zocdoc.

The campaign went live on December 26, 2022, just in time for Zocdoc’s annual rush of early January appointment bookings from people determined to keep their health and wellness-related New Year’s resolutions. The advertisements will run across US broadcast, cable, and streaming channels until 2023.
