About

Actress Julianne Moore has been named the new face of Reed Krakoff’s autumn/winter 2013 ad campaign.

Julianne features in the images which were shot on location at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York City by Reed Krakoff.

“I have admired Julianne’s extraordinary talent and unique style for many years and have been fortunate enough to get to know her on both a professional and personal level,” Krakoff told Women’s Wear Daily, adding that the actress represents and reflects the three-year-old brand’s values with a “combination of personal strength, confidence and a subtle sensuality, which is strongly reflected in the imagery.”

The 49-year-old designer has spent the last 16 years at Coach — most recently serving as creative director — and announced that he’d leave the company next summer to solely focus on his namesake line. As for Moore, this isn’t her first time doing the fashion and beauty ad circuit, with past campaigns for L’Oreal, Bulgari and Talbots under her belt.

“I’m [pleased] to focus exclusively on the RK brand and to embark on the next phase of my career,” Reed said in April 2013 about his plans.

Julianne’s signing comes after she flaunting his designs on numerous occasions.

She sat front row at the designer’s Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week presentation carrying a Reed Krakoff bag.

The 52-year-old recently told DuJour magazine she feels confident ageing in the public eye.

Julianne is the face of several L’Oréal products and praised the cosmetics brand for their support.

“They’re great because they have a range of women representing their brand, from very young women all the way up to Jane Fonda, who’s 75. It’s not about being beautiful for your age. It’s about being beautiful at your age,” she finished.

The campaign debuts in September 2013 issues worldwide.
