Fashion brand MaxMara has announced actress Jennifer Garner as the face of its debut accessories campaign for fall/winter 2013.
Photographed in New York by Mario Sorrenti, the campaign features the slogan ‘Timeless is Now’ and sees Jennifer holding the brand’s new ‘cult item’, the JBag.
Jennifer will also appear with the JBag on the cover of MM Magazine, the coffee table title MaxMara publishes twice a year.
Italian brand Max Mara, is known for “effortless elegance, as exemplified through its simple silhouettes and neutral color palette, and boasting timeless modern design”. Not only is this Garner’s first time appearing in a fashion campaign, but it is also the first time that Max Mara has used a celebrity spokesperson to market their line.
Chairman for Max Mara, Luigi Maramotti said, “Jennifer Garner is a real woman, not a cover girl, not a starlet, and she has different interests, a family and values. She is a real woman and embodies the Max Mara woman, she perfectly reflects our image.”
Garner says that she is a natural for this campaign with Max Mara. “My style is pragmatic,” said Garner. “I like to wear garments that have a real luxurious texture and feel good against the skin.”
As for her glossy brunette locks, the star says she’s learned a lot from the hair pros she’s worked with on set. “They taught me that letting my hair dry naturally—which is what I do every single day—is good for it…but it’s not always going to look good. Pulling out the blow-dryer and the curling iron really does make a difference. But to be perfectly honest, I don’t know even know where the hair dryer is in my house.”
The star knows the importance of protecting herself from harmful UV rays, and doesn’t skimp on sunscreen—which probably explains why she looks so radiant and youthful.
“Putting on SPF should be like brushing your teeth,” she insists.
The campaign will run through Fall 2013 to Spring 2014, and will feature 5 images of Garner.
