American actress Chloë Sevigny has teamed up with UNIQLO to front its new campaign.
The American Horror Story star is promoting the brand’s new cashmere range while British model Lily Donaldson features in the campaign for the new silk collection.
World-renowned photographer Ryan McGinley lensed the campaign as well as modelling for the men’s cashmere collection, which also features artist Jeremy Everett.
The visual director of the campaign was Olivier Zahm who is founder and owner of the French fashion and culture magazine Purple.
He styled Chloë against a pale pastel backdrop to capture the elegance of cashmere in daily life.
The 38-year-old is seen wearing a number of casual yet chic looks, including neutral coloured separates, dark green leather pants, cosy knits and ballet flats.
With the shots of Lily, Olivier used flowers as the main aesthetic motif to symbolise feminine beauty.
Chloë is known for her effortlessly cool appearance and fashionable style. She has proved she has a talent for designing as well and has created lines for Opening Ceremony in collaboration with the Kenzo designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon.
The trendsetter recently visited Japan to see inside Opening Ceremony’s flagship store.
Chloë attended the inaugural bash held at the premises in Tokyo which is located on trendy Cat Street.
“When they opened the door, I started cheering,” she laughed. “I’m like, I’m more excited than anybody else in here.”
Lily’s campaign launches in the UK on August 18th, 2013 with Chloë’s following on September 5th.
Sevigny made her film debut with a leading role in the controversial film Kids (1995), written by Harmony Korine, which led to an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her performance. A long line of roles in generally well received independent and often avant-garde films throughout the decade established Sevigny’s reputation as an indie film queen. In 1999, Sevigny won eight acting awards and gained serious critical and commercial recognition for her first mainstream role in the critically lauded Boys Don’t Cry, for which she also received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actress.
