Arnold Schwarzenegger is Austrian but now resides in the USA. He’s an actor, model, producer, businessman, retired bodybuilder, and former politician. He spent a full term as the Governor of California from 2003 to 2011, before returning to his acting career.

He began weight training at the age of 15. Arnold then won Mr Universe at the age of 20, before winning it three more times. Moreover, he also won the Mr Olympia contest seven times.

After retiring from bodybuilding, Schwarzenegger sought worldwide fame as a Hollywood action film-star in such films as Conan the Barbarian and The Terminator. People dubbed him the “Austrian Oak” and the “Styrian Oak” in his bodybuilding days and “Arnie” during his acting career, and more recently the “Governator”.

Arnold published his autobiography, Total Recall, in October 2012. The majority of his book is devoted to his accomplishments as a bodybuilder, an actor and being the Governor of California.

In 2007, Schwarzenegger took the role as official spokesperson for the Special Olympics held in Shanghai. Arnie believes that quality school opportunities should be made available to children who might not have access to them.

Arnie also founded Oak Productions, a film production company.
