Cocktail innovator Funkin has announced Alexandra Burke as the spokesperson and face of its new campaign, Your Bar. Your Rules.
The partnership sees the Bad Boys singer promote the cocktail mixes to the brand’s target audience of 20 to 30-year-old females.
Throughout August 2013, Alexandra is taking part in radio, magazine and online interviews, sharing her summer party rules and encouraging consumers to post their own on Twitter via #MyBarMyRules.
The campaign, which launched in June as part of a £500,000 marketing investment, is increasing cocktail awareness and tapping into the way consumers host a party at home or enjoy drinks before a night out.
Recent research conducted by the brand revealed women love to customise their night when they host a party, with 54% preferring to choose what drinks are served.
She says, ‘Before I go out, I love inviting my girlfriends round to get ready and enjoy a couple of cocktails. Funkin is the perfect fit for a pre-party get together and it is great to be a part of the campaign and show how others can create their own rules to make their night memorable.’
Funkin chief executive Andrew King said: “It is apparent that when planning a party or pre-drinks at home, our target consumers like to take charge and create an experience unique to their taste, whether it be through the cocktails they serve or the genre of music played throughout the evening.
“Alexandra is the perfect spokesperson for our campaign as she too enjoys creating her own parties her own way.
“We continually invest to grow cocktail awareness across the trade and show that mixing drinks at home can be a simple and fun task.
“Our mixers allow consumers to create bar-quality cocktails in 10 seconds by just adding ice and a spirit, letting them enjoy their party the way they choose.”
The Funkin cocktail mixer range includes 12 varieties available in 120ml packs.
Also available in convenient 1litre and 750ml packs are classic serves such as Funkin Strawberry Daiquiri, Funkin Mojito and the new Funkin Brazilian cocktail mixer, a tropical blend of mango, passion fruit and Brazilian orange juice, combined with Brazilian guarana seeds.
Funkin cocktails mixers can be found in all major grocers, including Tesco, large Sainsbury’s stores, Asda, Waitrose and Morrisons, as well as selected Spar stores.
