Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr has been announced as the new face of MANGO, following in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz and Naomi Campbell.
Kerr poses like a pro in sweet yet simple ensembles including a body-conscious mini skirt, distressed faded skinny jeans and a suede moto jacket —and nails each look with perfection.
Kerr is to feature in the spring/summer 2013 campaign and commented ‘MANGO is a brand that I love. You always find the perfect garment for every occasion’.
The Aussie model is mom to 2-year-old Flynn, husband to British actor Orlando Bloom and an environmental campaigner (Miranda went nude on the cover of Rolling Stone back in 2009 for the magazine’s Green Issue), as well as a superstar model.
The latest shots released by the Barcelona-based fashion label feature Miranda Kerr in select cuts from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 collections, including an ever desirable suede miniskirt teamed with a loose knit and a camel-colored suede biker jacket.
Miranda Kerr follows in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer and Christy Turlington, who have all previously represented the brand.
The Spanish fashion brand is a major international player, with 2,415 stores in 107 countries worldwide.
Miranda Kerr began modeling in the fashion industry when she was 13, starting at Chaay’s Modelling Agency, and soon after winning a 1997 Australian nationwide model search hosted by Dolly magazine and Impulse fragrances.
In January 2012, she was named ambassador for Qantas. In June, Kerr signed a contract to represent Samantha Thavasa, promoting the brand’s “Malissa” bag.
Mango is a clothing design and manufacturing company, founded in Barcelona, Catalonia. Isak Andic is the president, and Enric Casi is the chief executive. Its goal is “to be present in every city” in the world.
