About

Ted is widely regarded as Britain’s foremost Formula One pit-lane reporter. He has worked at ITV, the BBC, and Sky Sports F1. His insights into strategy and the sport’s secrets have made his on-the-spot reports essential listening. Ted’s renowned skill is to speak to F1 aficionados in a way that members of a passing audience can also comprehend and relish.

Upon graduation, Ted Kravitz trained as a journalist at CBS News’ London bureau before working for local radio stations in the South-West of England as a news and sports reporter. He then returned to London to work for 95.8 Capital FM, on their Sony award-winning news show, The Way It Is.

Embarking on his journalistic career as a news and sports reporter for local radio, he has also presented coverage of the British Touring Car Championship for ITV. He worked with ITV since the beginning of their F1 coverage in 1997, initially as a producer, and then as a pit-lane reporter from 2002, alongside Louise Goodman. He replaced James Allen who was promoted to the post of race commentator, following the retirement of Murray Walker.

Kravitz continued his pit-lane role, now alongside Lee McKenzie, as the Formula One coverage moved to the BBC in 2009, and remained in this position until the end of 2011.

In addition to providing his pit-lane insights for Sky Sports F1 on every race weekend in 2012, he will be a co-presenter alongside Georgie Thompson as the pair host the channel’s magazine show on Friday nights.

Ted’s considerable broadcasting experience makes him a natural choice for personal appearances, as well as corporate days and promotions.
