About

British actress Tamsin Egerton, recognised for her role in TV series Camelot, has been announced as the face of Accessorize‘s autumn/winter 2013 campaign, following in the footsteps of Bar Rafaeli, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Upton and Lily Cole.

From Kate Upton to Lily Cole, Claudia Schiffer to Sophie Dahl, Accessorize has garnered a name for itself for casting some of the world’s most beautiful women to star in their campaigns. And this year’s is no exception.

Actress Tamsin Egerton (of St Trinian’s fame) will star in the brand’s AW13 campaigns, marking the first high street campaign for the Brit beauty.

Shot in London by photographer Ben Weller, the campaign kick starts the season with new look studio shots for the brand, styled with a clean, sharp edge. Featuring some of the season’s most coveted bags, from winged handheld totes to chic-colour blocked hobos, Tamsin revealed on the shoot: “There are some gorgeous tote handbags this season that have definitely caught my eye!”

Look-at-me jewels and day clutches are the theme for October, with November channelling a laid-back luxe vibe with boyfriend beanies and knitted scarves.

And it’s in December when the brand really comes into its own, embracing Accessorize’s glitzy side: think sparkling gemstones, heavily embellished clutches and more than enough jewels for the party season!

Talking about her look, Tamsin said: “My style is schizophrenic! One minute I’ll be wearing bright girly dresses and the next I’ll be swinging towards more structured masculine things. I don’t like to only have one particular style as it means I get bored easily.

“I love dressing up for events, to me it’s almost like wearing a costume for the evening. I’m personally becoming more daring and experimental with my style so I can’t wait to bring that out on the next red carpet.”

Egerton started her acting career age six, following her older sister, Sophia, to a local youth theatre, saying; “The whole reason I’m acting now is because I wanted to be doing what my big sister was doing”. A year later, she appeared in a Royal Shakespeare Company musical production of The Secret Garden, playing Mary.

Egerton’s other film credits include Sarah in Driving Lessons (2006) alongside Rupert Grint and Flora in Knife Edge (2008). She was to appear as Katrina in Eragon, but the scenes which she featured in were removed from the final cut.

Egerton starred as Princess Elenora in the TV children’s series Sir Gadabout: The Worst Knight in the Land. In 2001, she starred as the “young” Morgaine in the TV miniseries The Mists of Avalon. She has also appeared on stage – in the RSC’s musical version of The Secret Garden.

In 2009, Egerton appeared in the St Trinian’s sequel, St Trinian’s II: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold.

In 2011, she appeared in Chalet Girl alongside Felicity Jones, Ed Westwick and Bill Nighy, playing Georgie.
