Renault announce Lorraine Keane as Brand Ambassador

Television presenter Lorraine Keane has been announced as the new Brand Ambassador for French car manufacturer Renault.

She is the French brands first female brand ambassador in Ireland. Lorraine joins mentalist Keith Barry, broadcaster Ian Dempsey and Paralympic Double Gold Medallist Mark Rohan as Renault Ireland Ambassadors.

In her role, Lorraine is helping to promote the new Renault Captur and its unique blend of MPV, SUV and family hatchback.

Commenting on new role Lorraine said “I’m loving my new Captur. The colour is amazing and it’s ideal for me and the family, with great storage and cool stuff like Media Nav which can access email, full navigation system, USB to connect to my iPhone and iPod to listen to my music with a great sound system, and Bluetooth for hands free calls. Great boot space and the removable, wipeable covers are fab. Looking forward to lots of trips at home and in France with my new Captur”.

Patrick Magee, Country Operations Manager for Renault Ireland comments, ‘It’s great to have Lorraine on board as she is always on the go and the Captur suits her busy lifestyle. It’s a very stylish and chic model and Lorraine herself is known for her style. We hope she has a safe and enjoyable driving experience in our latest and already very popular Captur.’

Lorraine is best known as the entertainment news correspondent for TV3 and presenter of the daily entertainment show Xpose.

She joined the TV3 news team from her position as manager of AA Roadwatch, where she had worked for the previous seven years, broadcasting live on Radio 1 and 2FM every day. During that time Lorraine also presented various independent productions for RTÉ, including Live at 3, Start Me Up, Drive and RPM Motorsport. Lorraine has written columns for VIP magazine, Ireland on Sunday and the Star on Sunday newspapers. As an experienced master of ceremonies she is a regular host of high-profile events/awards ceremonies across the country. These have included introducing Charles, Prince of Wales on his first visit to Dublin and welcoming U.S. President Bill Clinton, during his term in office, at an Irish-American ceremony in New York.

Since leaving TV3, Keane presented the TV Now Awards, The Ultimate Girls Day Out at the RDS, Dublin from 29–31 August 2009 and has become Irish spokesperson for Garnier. Lorraine Keane is an ambassador for the charity Trocaire, and travelled to Africa in 2009 to film a documentary for RTE’s Nationwide, highlighting the charity work Trocaire undertake in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. In 2010 she travelled to Haiti with the same charity and in 2012 travelled to Guatemala.She is also associated with the charities Make A Wish and World Vision.
