About

Otis Ferry

Activist and son of Bryan Ferry, Otis Ferry, has been named Ambassador for Noble Macmillan.

Otis, who has been outspoken about his pro-hunting beliefs, has collaborated with Noble Macmillan to create a new collection of outdoor pursuit books, which are available late 2013.

The synergy between the quintessentially British brand and Otis Ferry made him the natural choice for a collaboration. The combination of his passion for outdoor pursuits mixed with his urban edge reflects Noble Macmillan’s brand ethos and heritage perfectly.  He is equally at home in the Shropshire countryside or at a glamorous London event. Otis has collaborated with the brand on their selection of game and hunting journals.

’We are extremely proud to have Otis as our Brand Ambassador’, explains Henry Samuelson, Managing Director. ’Otis represents the classic British gentleman, whose passion for the great British countryside combined with his urban edge, fits perfectly with the our brand image. We are also working closely with Otis to create a new collection of Outdoor Pursuit Books to be launched later this year’.

Q&A with Otis Ferry:

You’re very interested in the English countryside. Were you brought up there?
Yes. I was brought up in the beautiful Sussex countryside but also spent quite a lot of time in London.

What aspects do you love most about being in the countryside?
I love the fresh air and the open space.

When you come to London what do you like to do?
I spend a lot of time at my step-father’s new private club in the West End. It has a very welcoming feel and the décor and design feel like you’re in a country house so it feels like a home from home.

What is it about Noble Macmillan that encouraged you to collaborate with them?
I thought their products resonate with my hobbies and love for the outdoors. They are stylish and timeless so a collaboration seemed like the perfect match.

Which of the Noble Macmillan products are your favourite and why?
I worked with Noble Macmillan on their game and fishing books so I love those as they have a little bit of me in them. I also love their photo albums. They make the most wonderful presents and it is great that they can be personalised.

What is it you love about the photo albums?
They have a huge range in every colour and size so there is something for everyone.

How involved have you been in the creation of a Noble Macmillan product? (Game and Fishing books)
As a result of my love for fishing and shooting I know what people want to document in these books so I have been involved in amending these books.

Do you think British craftsmanship retains importance in today’s ‘fast-fashion’ culture?
I think it’s important. It creates employment and gives encouragement to small British companies to continue upholding British heritage.

Not many companies offer a bespoke personalisation service. How relevant is this to you?
I think the fact that Noble Macmillan offer a personalisation service is very relevant to why I have chosen to collaborate with them. I generally only try to use British companies and it’s a bonus if they offer a bespoke service.

Noble Macmillan have been producing Photo Albums & Outdoor Sporting Books for over 25 years and our master craftsmen hand bound and stitch each book in our workshop in the UK.
