Lydia Frempong joins Channel 4

Confidence coach Lydia Frempong has been hired by Channel 4 to work with employees to deliver life coaching sessions, encourage personal development and further career progression.

Frempong was initially involved with Channel 4 as a workshop leader for the 4Talent Road Show, a series of open days across the UK which includes a mix of creative workshops, careers advice and industry talks. Frempong is one of the key national trainers on employability and career progression within the media industry, delivering sessions on personal branding with her self-produced workshop “Stand Out Above The Crowd”.

Since creating her “Coach Lyds” brand, Frempong has worked extensively with media professionals to aid career progression and improve confidence. She demonstrates versatility through devising solution based sessions and action plans for Entrepreneurs, Industry Professionals, Celebrities and Civil Servants.

As a result, Frempong is an inspirational coach at any stage of a person’s career. Channel 4 boasts an extraordinarily diverse staff, for which Frempong is fully qualified to deliver tailored advice and support.

She commented ‘Working with a progressive broadcaster that supports their staff with personal development suits my ethics in every way. I am continuously inspired to coach such talented individuals’.

Frempong is a perfect match for Channel 4, embodying their “Mischief with a mission” attitude to media, keeping a characteristically light hearted but authoritative edge to her coaching sessions. As both an insider and an independent observer, she has the capacity to act with a fresh perspective and be an effective sounding board, whilst retaining the consistency of the fearless Channel 4 brand.

Working with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds – from entrepreneurs to industry professionals, Frempong focuses on giving people the psychological and personality tools to be successful. She has a Coaching Diploma from Cambridge and is a member of Coaching Professional bodies.

Frempong’s ability to apply her dynamism, character and knowledge to the lives of others has made her a sought after coach. In 2011 she won a Business in the Community ‘Leadership in the Workplace Award’, having been described as “Britain’s most enterprising professional” in the press.

Her intuitive talent for transforming the way in which business leaders and individuals promote themselves and run their organisations has commanded respect and recognition within the media and broader industries.

Frempong coaches businesses at the highest level, recently becoming a Patron of educational charity Show Racism the Red Card which boasts Doreen Lawrence, Rio Ferdinand and Patrick Monahan as just some of their supporters.
