Amanda Lamb and George Clarke for What House

WhatHouse.co.uk, digital version of What House? property magazine which launched last year, is to be relaunched July 22nd 2013 as a streamlined 28 page edition including the first columns from new signings Amanda Lamb and George Clarke.

Assistant editor and project manager for the re-launch, Laurna Robertson said ‘Both of these stars have substantial clout when it comes to property and I am delighted to welcome them into the What House? team. Thankfully both Amanda and George agreed to sign up as columnists so our readers will get to enjoy their insight over the coming months’.
What House? is a UK new homes property portal, featuring new homes and affordable housing for sale across the UK from all the major home builders.

Founded as a magazine in 1978 to provide consumers with information on new homes for sale, as well as interiors and gardens, What House? was acquired by its present owners in 1988, when it merged with Homefinder magazine. What House? moved online in 2005, becoming www.whathouse.co.uk.

The What House? Awards, an annual housebuilder awards ceremony which judges the best new homes in Britain, is also part of the What House? brand and the 31st such ceremony will took place in November 2012.

What House? is owned by independent publisher Globespan Media Limited, which also publishes Show House magazine, a monthly magazine for housebuilders.

In 2001, Lamb became the main presenter of the Channel 4 programme A Place in the Sun. She also presented “Hot Shots”, an Epson-funded programme shown on Discovery Real Time about digital photography which was notable as being the last television appearance of photographer Patrick Lichfield.

She co-hosted the cookery programme Market Kitchen (Good Food) and regularly appears on The Wright Stuff (Channel 5), also on Family Super Cooks (Watch).

In March 2012, she began presenting You Deserve This House, a new Channel 4 daytime show in which the homes of ‘community heroes’ are secretly refurbished.
