Transformers actor Josh Duhamel has teamed up with Diet Pepsi. A new video features Josh posing as a checkout clerk, scouting the aisles, parking lot and register lines for fans of the soft drink.
He says, ‘I had a blast ‘checking out’ Diet Pepsi fans at the cash register. It was like hosting my own candid camera! Seeing the surprised reactions in real-time was really fun and I hope we gave a lot of shoppers a great story to tell their friends and family.’
The Win A Date With Tad Hamilton actor pretended to be a rebellious check-out worker, riding around in a shopping trolley, sculling Diet Pepsi straight from the bottle and leaping out to scare customers when they least expected it.
At one point he even points the scanner over one woman, before cheekily saying: “I’m checking you out.”
“Had some fun with @DietPepsi shoppers this weekend … Check it out,” the 40-year-old tweeted yesterday, along with a link to the spoof video.
Duhamel and his wife Fergie, who recently changed her last name to Duhamel, are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in late August/early September 2013.
