Kimberly Wyatt is an American singer, choreographer, and television personality, best known as a former member of the iconic girl group The Pussycat Dolls.
Early Life
Kimberly’s passion for dance began at the age of seven. By 14, she was studying at New York’s Joffrey Ballet and the Broadway Dance Center. At 17, after graduating from high school, Kimberly moved to Las Vegas to audition for cruise ship and casino shows. She spent two years working in a revue on Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas.
Pussycat Dolls
In 2003, Kimberly’s career took a major turn when she appeared as a dancer in Nick Lachey’s music video for “Shut Up”. The choreographer for the video was Robin Antin, who invited Kimberly to join The Pussycat Dolls. During her time with the group, Wyatt became known for her signature standing oversplit move, often featured in the Pussycat Dolls’ music videos.
Wyatt’s first vocal contribution came with the song “Don’t Wanna Fall in Love”, a solo track featured on the deluxe edition of their second album, Doll Domination. After Jessica Sutta, Kimberly was the second member to depart from the group.
Got to Dance
In 2010, Kimberly was one of the judges on the dance competition Got to Dance, alongside Ashley Banjo and Adam Garcia. She also served as a judge on the US version of the show, Live to Dance, alongside Paula Abdul and Travis Payne.
Other Work
In March 2015, Kimberly participated in ITV’s Give a Pet a Home. Later that year, she triumphed in the final of Celebrity MasterChef on BBC One, beating competitors Sam Nixon, Rylan Clark-Neal, and Scott Maslen.
Kimberly also became an ambassador for the Youth Sport Trust in 2015, using her platform to promote well-being for young women through dance.
Today, Kimberly Wyatt continues to thrive in the entertainment industry, making significant contributions to dance, television, and charity.
