Manchester City Career

Joe Hart joined Manchester City in 2006, initially recommended by goalkeeping coach Tim Flowers, who recognized Hart’s immense potential. Over the years, Hart became one of the Premier League’s most celebrated goalkeepers. Notably, he saved a penalty from Lionel Messi in a Champions League round of 16 match against Barcelona, and in the return leg, Hart made a record-breaking 10 saves in one game, earning Messi’s praise, who called him a “phenomenon.”


England Career

Hart’s international career with England began in 2008 when he made his debut in a friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago. He was later selected by manager Roy Hodgson for the UEFA Euro 2012 squad, where he played a crucial role in helping England reach the quarter-finals. During the tournament, he made the most saves (19) of any goalkeeper.

In the 2014 World Cup, Hart played in England’s opening match against Italy, despite a 1–2 defeat. On 12 October 2014, Hart was named England’s best player in their 1–0 victory over Estonia, earning a man of the match performance after making numerous key saves.


Golden Glove

Hart’s domestic success was equally impressive, as he was awarded the Premier League Golden Glove for the most clean sheets in the 2010–11 season. He went on to set a Manchester City club record for the most clean sheets in a single season. Hart holds the record for the most Premier League Golden Glove awards, with 4 to his name.
