Jamie began his broadcasting career with GLR (Greater London Radio), where he first made a name for himself by providing sports reports. By the age of 23, he was presenting GLR’s Saturday Sport Show. He then moved on to Radio 5 Live, where he hosted a variety of shows, including Sportscall, The Jamie Theakston Cricket Show, and Sport on Wednesday, gaining further recognition in sports broadcasting.
Television Career
Jamie is perhaps best known for his long-running role as the host of Top of the Pops from 1998 to 2003, where he became a familiar face on British television. He also co-presented Live & Kicking alongside Zoe Ball from 1996 to 1999, and The Priory, a reality TV series.
