Debra Stephenson is a versatile English actress, comedian, impressionist, and singer. She first gained national attention at age 14 on BBC TV’s Opportunity Knocks, where her talents won her a spot in the All-Winners’ Final. Known for her impressive impressions, she also appeared on Blue Peter performing a memorable impression of Esther Rantzen.
In 1999, Stephenson took on one of her most iconic roles, playing Shell Dockley in the ITV prison drama Bad Girls. Her portrayal of Dockley, a complex and dangerous character, earned her two consecutive nominations for Best Actress at the National Television Awards in 1999 and 2000.
From 2004 to 2006, Debra starred in the popular soap opera Coronation Street, portraying Frankie Baldwin. Her performance in this role led to nominations for “Best Newcomer” at various award shows, further solidifying her reputation as a talented actress.
