Bruno is an Italian choreographer and a hugely popular TV personality. He appears as a panel judge on the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and on the American version called ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on the ABC network. He is a highly entertaining addition to the panel with his quick witted remarks and ecentric nature.

Bruno Tonioli came to London as a leading member of the Paris based company La Grande Eugene before joining the Lyndsay Kemp Company. He worked as a dancer in every field of the industry. He started his choreographic career with Pamela Stevenson and the ‘Not the Nine O’clock News team’.

He has over 20 Motion Picture Credits including: ‘Little Voice’ starring Michael Caine and Jane Horrocks, ‘Ella Enchanted’ starring Anne Hathaway and Hugh Dancy, ‘What A Girl Wants’ starring Amada Bynes, ‘A Gathering Storm’ starring Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave, and ‘Enigma’ starring Kate Winslet, Dougray Scott and Saffron Burroughs.

Theatre productions include Steve Coogan’s show ‘The Man Who Thinks He’s It’ – national tour and sell-out run at the Lyceum Theatre, London, ‘What A Feeling’ national tour, ‘La Vie Parisienne’ for the Scottish National Opera, ‘Godspell’ for the Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke, ‘Viva Espana’ at the Arts Theatre, London and ‘Flying High W11 Opera’ at the Royal Opera House

His television credits include Agatha Christie’s ‘The Body in the Library’, ‘Ab Fab’, ‘Scarlet Pimpernelle’, ‘French and Saunders Christmas Special’ and 3 Royal Variety Shows.

Bruno has worked extensively in the music business, choreographing videos, stage shows and tours for many artists including Tina Turner, Elton John, Boy George, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Freddie Mercury and Duran Duran. His close association with Bananarama involved 15 videos and, of course, their World Tour.

In the United States, he has appeared on numerous talk shows including Larry King Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Bonnie Hunt Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The View, Live with Regis & Kelly, Rachael Ray, The Soup, Lopez Tonight, and Chelsea Lately.

In January 2008, ABC premiered Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie-Ann. Tonioli’s team won the viewer-voted competition, earning a contract with Hollywood Records.

In 2009 and 2010 he was a judge on the UK tour of Strictly Come Dancing Live, appearing at 45 shows on each tour.

His choreographing credits include over 100 TV commercials including Halifax, Royal Mail, the Allied Dunbar series, British Airways, Levi Jeans, Tropicana (USA) and MacDonalds.

In September 2012, Tonioli released an autobiography entitled Bruno Tonioli: My Story.
