Rachel Zoe has been named Style Ambassador for COVET Fashion, the mobile app which allows users to create virtual fashion styles and share, re-style and purchase the look.
The stylist and TV presenter is collaborating with the app, developed by CrowdStar, to create style challenges which users can share with the fashion community, as well as writing content on latest trends with The Zoe Report.
She says, ‘COVET Fashion is a personalised styling experience that allows you to pick pieces from the best virtual closet. I think it has the potential to change the way people discover and interact with fashion.’
Designer labels will make up the options, with thousands of pieces available for endless style combinations. What’s more exciting is COVET’s first celebrity alignment: Rachel Zoe will be the first Style Ambassador to collaborate with the app, and will offer her expert fashion advice.
In addition to answering user questions, offering expert advice, and assisting with styling, Zoe and future contributors will also help curate events and style challenges. Zoe will personally judge the first challenge, as well as write style tips, and launch “The Zoe Report” — a round-up the latest trends.
“We take it one step further, so rather than just deciding what individual pieces they like, users can discover how those pieces can be worn in the app or incorporate them into their real life wardrobe,” said CEO of Crowdstar (COVET’s parent company), Jeffrey Tseng. “It’s like having an infinite closet of high contemporary fashion at your fingertips. That’s what makes this a truly engrossing shopping experience.”
The free app is available for downloading on all Apple mobile devices.
Rachel Zoe has been involved in the fashion industry for nearly two decades and has since become a renowned stylist and designer. She is known for her extensive influence in the fashion world and for her A-list clients. In 2008, the first season of her Bravo reality television series The Rachel Zoe Project debuted.
COVET Fashion is unique in how it carries the real world excitement of discovering and interacting with fashion to the online community by creating an emotional connection to brands and clothes. Once users dress and style their customizable avatars, they have the option to share their look with a broader fashion community, vote on others’ styles, and purchase individual
items directly from the brands, ultimately driving m-commerce. This brings all the pieces of the social shopping puzzle together — inspiring people to discover the most fashion-forward styles in the market and to shop with ease, all while having fun and sharing their style ideas with celebrities, bloggers, and friends.
